Typically, the profit in selling at $0.25 comes if you are a broker who has taken stock in the placement and been paid the fee of presumably 5%.
That is what happens in a lot of placements if less reputable brokers get involved but I am not saying that is the case in this instance, just illustrating what can happen and how you can still make money by selling shares at the placement price.
