Previous interaction I had he/she was telling me that audited financial statements of publicly listed companies are fraudulent, so he/she ignores them (prefers to take his cues from the media, apparently).
When I pointed out to him/her that the savings for his/her retirement are managed on his behalf by investment managers who very extensively rely on company financial statements in order to do so, he/she went shtum.
