In answer to your first question. Those that die have only shed their material body, our conscience mind is non material so therefore it cannot be destroyed. This means those that commit suicide soon find they are just as alive as when they inhabited a material body. And yes some do communicate their regrets at the suffering caused to their loved ones left behind.

There is scientific evidence to support the above but don't expect orthodox or fundamentalist religions to support this as they have their own agenda and that is to keep the masses ignorant.
