Having watch the show the general opinion was that lithium ion batteries are the way of the future. The tesla car was most impressive.
Lithium ion batteries are totally recyclable, non toxic, no heavy metals to contend with.
Plug in cars would reduce co2 emmisions by 40 % with further reductions in the future from generating electricity from enviro-friendly sources reducing our dependency on coal
