basically very relaxed not too detailed but a few shareholder questions got some interesting assumptions.

GJ/Don Lewis been in China very optomistic over there compared to 6 months ago. stated they are cashed up and forsee themselves as being back on track growth wise at around 6% (i think he said) by the end of the year. They are moving away from the buying of financial instruments that got them (via the US) in trouble, now looking at buying into actual assets.

Have been talking to other companies in the region about building one railway, using one port as opposed to several companies doing their own thing and building several railways etc. Also mentioned slurry pipeline was in considerationmi got the feeling this was most probably more likely only if they couldn't get other companies to agree on the one set of infrastucture in the region. Cameroon govt would prefer railway as they see it as a national interest/asset however it would all come down to commercial viability.

Talbot group proactive in helping SDL. When the board decided they wanted more cash to see them through this global trouble patch Talbot said his vehicle would do what ever is required/asked of it by SDL.

Said they continue to negotiate with parties, quite probable chinese will be the end result (as per above) but they are in no rush and wanted this extra cash so they can choose when and how they do the deal. Want to extract best terms for SDL.

stated they are onside with the IMF. And working together also with cameroon to ensure everyone wins and no-one tries to takes advantage of one another but eluded that in some sense with this economic crisis the shoe is back on the foot of SDL ie. cameroon like everyone else are doing it tough and need this to happen and in thus he couldn't see cameroon doing the dirty on us.

    regards
