So, the AFR headline writes: Penfolds owner Treasury Wines hunts for champagne acquisition It obviously makes sense on many different levels. However, from a tactical point of view, by chasing an acquisition in the Champagne space thereby competing against Champagne makers, this in turn accelerates the likelihood of TWE being acquired by a Champagne house.
We will see who buys who first.
