Generally agree with what you are saying however a single consumer/investor can't swim against the tide. Much more sensible to pick and back winners particularly when their success is determined by an effective duopoly.
I think we have all temporarily forgotton about the biggest loser of all...the suppliers. Unless you are a CCL and have international brand power on your side dealing with either Coles or Woolworths is a frightful affair.
