yet the simple majority, even with the convolutions of the US state delegate system, has the serious problem that the US exemplifies. the person with the biggest advertising budget usually wins. and that limits candidates to the duopoly and the ability to tap other peoples pockets. no wonder the voluntary voting system, which tries to exclude as many as they can legally manage, has such a low turnout.
at least with preferential every vote is counted and here we have compulsory voting so its much more representative and able to change. that was the wisdom in constitution.
