what's the point in being so cynical when you haven't even given it a chance as to whether or not it's a good thing.
there's plenty of members who like to make some sort of contribution too hotcopper.
h/c has been extremely progressive over the past 12 months or so which has strengthen it's position as top share forum.
this is NOT about gaining extra "brownie points" as you seem to suggest & being fixated on.
speaking as a trader if you don't have some sort software that gives you an indication as to how stocks are traveling ie: going sidways, up or down. then you are pretty much in he dark.
something like a scanning forum would be much better than most other forums on hotcopper. one which i wont mention is just your pump & dump scenario.
overall i see more positives than negatives and would welcome any sort of assistance. in any forum like hotcopper sharing is the name of the game.
