I think that is a red herring.........going by the regular feedback, there does not appear to be a major problem with advertising per se..........it's just when something like today's schmozzel occurs that members get pussed off.
Advertising in a controlled, sympathetic and non-intrusive format is widely accepted (albeit probably ignored) by many people these days on a range of radio, TV and internet based sites as well as on static displays everywhere you go........
So, I have no real problem with most of HC's advertising....but just don't want to see flashing strobes or drop down pop-ups (is that an oxym~ron ?) that interfere with accessing and reading posts.
