that’s a ways off the subject which is education and social welfare which creates nations and wealth.
However, it is probably linked because the people who make decisions are also poorly educated.
If politicians have any education generally to do with history or geography etc, it’s usually under a reference to political studies.
There is so much that is missed when one studies something ‘of’ eg. The philosophy ‘of’ medicine or the sociology ‘of’ health or similar
one gets a teeny glimpse at a focused small portion of society.
Political leaders really need a far broader understanding of the world and it’s people IMO
I would have thought that even on HC, most can agree that our politicians in general are a pretty poor bunch for the task of leading a country forward
indeed one glance at Canberra gives an instant overall feeling of ‘god help us’
