Australia could be like Norway in an instant. If we allowed development of our natural resources, gas, coal and oil we could all live like those rich Vikings there in Norway. Fabulous welfare and very early retirement, the sort of thing most Labor voters crave yet are not prepared to work for. Alas, the ALP and Greens are too woke to take advantage of our wealth and develop it for all Australians. Instead, the ALP and Greens thumb their nose at our natural resources which could be used to solve poverty and homelessness in this Country very easily. . The ALP and Greens seem to prefer to keep people poor and give them a few trinkles of handouts every now and then to keep them happy and voting leftist. The ALP have never understood the value of our resources and our ability to be a Country like Norway that can truly give it's citizens a great lifestyle. Go back to Whitlam and Khemlani. Whitlam needed to fund his deficit and low and behold he and Rex Connor thought it a great idea to mortgage the North West Shelf to the Arabs. Khemlani the bag man for that got sprung by the press and the rest is history. You guys want utopia? Study what Whitlam did and immediately do the opposite.

hint o poo reckons all we do is dig dirt… why not? I agree 100% with your thoughts. There’s a helluva lot of tech involved in digging dirt these days, downstream processing, AI. We’ve got what the world needs and unlike our attempts at auto manufacturing, furniture etc, with mining, it’s so huge there’s partnerships open to us to develop industries off the back of digging dirt.
