I understand that the process of signing up and product evaluation by potential customers may include an opportunity to test the working equivalent of the live app.
Therefore, I believe that you are looking at are test accounts.
It gives an insight into how the product works but I would not assume that the likes of apple and amazon are actually signed up yet.
Anyway, will be interesting to see if there is any response from the company.
