I think a lot of this recent buying may be linked to the Ukraine crisis. Irrespective of the ultimate outcome in Ukraine several European countries are now fearful of their dependence on Russian gas, which is piped through Ukraine. Furthermore, they are applying sanctions against Russia and understand that Russia will remember this in future gas contract considerations.
Dart may or may not be a future goer in the UK gas space, but a lot of Europeans are now convinced they have to hedge their bets on gas supply and can't rely as heavily on supplies from Russia.
I expect the buying to continue even if a resolution to Ukraine is forthcoming.
