I don't think BHP and RIO are deliberately trying to wipe out the other Australian producers.  I think their big target is the Chinese Iron Ore producers and I do think that there is a good chance that it is them who will decrease their production in coming months more than our minor producers.  Here is a list of the world Iron Ore producers.

Until I saw that page I did not realise that China producers two and a half times as much Iron Ore as Australia does and I understand that most of it is produced at nowhere near the price that most of the Australian companies produce at.

Imagine what it will do for our iron ore miners and particularly ARI,  if we hear China come out and say that it is closing down its uncommercial iron ore producers.  Surely that has to happen if BHP and RIO keep the pressure on.  I think that Barnett should stay out of it.  It is the Chinese that are not acting properly in this industry not our major miners.
