My understanding is that the land was bought to the attention of GGP by Novus but as I can't remember how that came about please feel free to leave it as an assumption, thats fine by me.
It has been mentioned on HC a few times in the past but I can't recall the details.

As for the recompletions I really don't anything other than there were existing wells on the leases, quite likely Spray/Dean wells and they may have been conventional.

I know some intervals weren't avaliable for vertical wells and that would most likely be the reason. They planned to drill hories in those areas, thats mentioned in an update somewhere.
