First of all - thumbs up, the best post so-far since the offer was published. These are the issues that need to be evaluated.
Everybody knows the 55c, make 7% over a few months, bla bla bla.
I've liquidated by holdings in my SMSF, based on concerns about being slowly roughted, as we'd be shareholders with no say, under overseas control.
I still have some personally. Its play money (and for now it will go up 55c in short term).
So.
A tight registry, easy access to funds, and the CHinese are not dummies. Just look at how they have done this deal - we're complaining - they're not.
Now I have no doubt that GDO will have all the opportunities in the world now, the real question is - as a minority shareholder, we are completely open to bad, or under the table type deals, with no comeback.
Riches will be made, but who will get it?
Just for starters, dilution to the max on day one.
who's gonna keep kicking on with the chinese?, page-6
