It has performed very well since being installed and we are pleased that we are now able to achieve total process capability of 55% of nameplate capacity. In coming months, we plan to install a further unit, where we will deliver still-higher total process capacity.


HE MUST HAVE FORGOTTEN there were plenty of hints ever since CMQ could no longer keep the production problems under wrap, for example:

8 March 05, CMQ’s plan for reaching full plant capacity has been supported by the recent IER. The first stage in this plan currently underway is designed to overcome the previously disclosed filtration problem. CMQ anticipates it will be in a position to provide a further update on these developments in about a month
– that’s the hint! CMQ upgrade of the 20TPA plant to 50TPA is no secret.

And in June 05,

We were most pleased with the SF2 IER……it was comforting for us to know we are on the right track….the required equipment has now been manufactured …Once installation is completed, testing will commence and we will then know if the solution will allow us to achieve MAJOR MANUFACTURING CAPACITY INCREASES.”
That’s another hint of going beyond 20TPA.

After hinting in March 05 that the filtration problem is all but overcome, half a year later, achieving 55% is described as “It has performed VERY WELL since being installed”. Yes, that’s for the improvement from 25% to 55% formerly described as "MAJOR MANUFACTURING INCREASES"!!

CMQ’s announcement should be read within the endemic news polishing characters as shown above and who can forget the announcement hailing the sending of a small sample to NZ as “This is important because it establishes the logistics and transport routes between WA & NZ”.

“Still higher-total process capacity” probably means “we may not even achieve 100% yet – we just don’t know”!
