    Thank you very much for the detailed post and explanation.
    It is a pity the responses became personal rather than post simply on issue.

    ButcherBoy, if you read this it definately better not be a case of 'if not convinced now you never will be' because the majority of people are not convinced or at least not convinced anough to support action.

    Moby's explantion wnet a fair way in explaining how the carbon tax can benefit by way of penalty and reward. When spelt out clearly it makes some sense as to what is trying to be achieved.

    The problem as I see it now though is that the Chinese,Russians, Indians and Americans need to adopt a similar stance or else what we in Australia do is potentially futile.

    When the dicussions are centred on information and not said with the intention of denegrating other posters there is actually some good stuff posted.

    Thanks Moby for using your last post today to give me the heads up about this thread. I had indeed missed it and am grateful for the read.
