The locals were offered $40k from the state government to preserve their language. One good local white dude said, ..... ok ... I'll head the committee. 2 years later and they still can't agree on on stuff. It's unbelievable, they had to surrender the grant and give it back. . . They'll own our language, we dont get any money out of it.
