Perhaps far greater than a PR disaster. With so many people injured from toxic gasses and many who may never recover their health, the compensation could be massive. Time will tell.
Then there may be questions about the viability of the building itself.
The Electric Viking was at pains to point out that ICE cars catch fire more often than EV’s. I don’t know but even assuming that he is correct, it is exceedingly rare that an ICE car fire will cause such massive damage.
He even goes as far as to expose his bias by stating that EV fires are difficult to put out when, in fact, they are judged as virtually impossible to put out and current practice is to let them burn and try to save adjacent property.
Does a tragedy such as this push EV manufacturers to seriously open their eyes to safer tech such as ours? Maybe, but one thing we can be assured of, these events will continue regardless.
