Yes we’ve been waiting a looooonnnngggg time.

I’ve never asked (and probably wouldn’t be told anyway) if the company has elements of the “Military Industrial Complex” as partners or collaborators.
If they are, then I guess they’d be told to supply the best anode they can to the battery manufacturer that makes the power packs for the “dogs”. I suppose the Australian army would be a good poodle and source its dogs from a US manufacturer (Boston Dynamics?). I doubt they’d get into a conflict of interest by engaging with a Chinese supplier (CATL?)
Yes, things like this do create a moral dilemma for some companies/people. People try to justify things by arguing things like “the battery doesn’t kill people; the gun does that.”
On the other hand, a big fat military contract could spell the difference between success and failure for a company like Anteo.
