anteotech gave some very significant information to the market over the last week.
it wasn't these either
ev1 is mercedes and have anteox testing in a battery prototype and have expanded their program to Ultranode as well
$4m grant from arena to start up a large battery storage program
production facility has completed validation and is ready to produce
it was that Anteotech's Ultanode program had hit 900 cycles at > than 70% energy retention. a really significant result. to me Ultranaode is the company maker.
these are the results from the 10% silicon anteo inside Mercedes anodes

38% increase in energy retention and about $600 savings per battery.
now, Anteotech 1st told the market they had got a 3rd party to manufacture the 1st Ultranode in January.
we haven't heard much in between. on these threads there has been discussions on different companies producing anodes with similar results. but you have to compare the $/kWh, ease of manufacture and performance improvement
we all know that mercedes and the like require batteries to be cheaper, longer running, easy to manufacture, faster charging etc etc
I won't add all my research on this, but consider some facts
anteotech uses unrefined silicon that costs $10/kg. thats for 70% of anode (China uses silicon around $100kg)
an anode with 70% silicon will give much better performance than the Mercedes 10% anteo inside anode which produced a 38% increase in energy retention. do some research much more.
in the January announcement, anteotech claimed that the Ultranode manufacturing procedure was easily transferable. thats about 10 months ago, would anteotech have require more Ultranode to be manufactured for testing since then. I reckon yes as they experiment different combos. the Mercedes $40k order would be the best electrolyte/ cathode combo so would had required another manufacturing run.
and then Anteotech are confident enough to sell Mercedes the 1st Ultranode product. it mightn't be 100% there but it's pretty close.
what would a 70% silicon anode, using unrefined silicon, with ease of manufacturing, faster charging, allowing for a lighter car with significant greater range do to a companies m/cap???
not just there yet but anteotech are telling the market it's getting closer.
GTAH, DYOR, IMO etc etc
ps to hoffa, hopefully when the design freeze is achieved. hopefully this year but who knows ???
