The electrification of cars will also come to us on a large scale.
In terms of development progress, I see Mercedes-Benz as clearly superior to most others.
The MMA platform from Mercedes (4 models, from 2025) will open a new chapter I think.

Motors with significantly lower energy consumption (12kW/h - 100km), completely new charging options for the batteries and significant improvements in energy density and durability will set new standards.

However, what is easily overlooked by most players in these areas are the cost savings that are urgently needed to make the entire fleet more attractive to the market.
You can read a lot in trade journals about the possibilities of improving the performance of electrification in a wide variety of ways.
But very little is written about the possibilities of optimising the major cost factor: the battery.

Li-ion batteries are currently the state of the art and will probably remain so for some time to come.
The approach of replacing the graphite in the anode with silicon is expedient and is being pursued by many market players.

So far, however, I can only see two ways in which this can work:
a) You use an additive to the binder = cost-effective
b) Use very expensive raw materials (silicon / graphite)

I think that Anteo is absolutely on the right track with AnteoX and the modified anodes.
In principle, any Li-ion battery can be optimised with its own formula as required, from small cars to luxury cars, from trucks to sports cars.

In the case of AnteoX, only one additive is used, which can be obtained from one supplier / manufacturer and, in the best case, covers the entire vehicle fleet of one manufacturer.

In my opinion, this advantage is invaluable for the manufacturer.
Depending on future developments in batteries, the formula can be adapted and is therefore future-proof.

Anteo has its foot in some doors, this fact must/should be recognised!

It is in the nature of things that development work is lengthy, but Anteo has now arrived where I have wanted the company to be for many years.
