jimb7, all phone manufacturers need to constantly increase their battery capacity to keep up with the increased draw by bigger and more draining apps. A.I. Is reported to be needing more and more battery for its use, so Apple etc need to keep looking for increased capacity without increasing the battery size to keep phones the smallest and lightest possible whilst being able to cope with the power use.
