I would think reduction of fire risk, weight, faster charging times would be reasons enough to want to update the battery in iPhones.
I too use an iPhone, mine is iPhone and am probably eyeing iPhone 17 for my next upgrade spam happy to hear it will have more silicon content but disappointed it is not Anteotech. like you I do not upgrade often, last time I went from X to 13 and previous to that 5 to 10 (that felt like the biggest change). There are many people like you and me that don't change the phone often!
