Each manufacturer claims its hypothetical solid-state battery can do an impressive number of miles. But, it’s important to note that no outside agency has verified any of the astounding numbers in any of their press releases. In other words, the allegedly fantastic driving ranges that Toyota and Samsung have promised need more careful scrutiny than anything that comes with the usual industry caveat of “under testing conditions.”
