Some interesting things happening with Tesla atm. It's been dropping its prices but is losing sales in C. A. it's biggest market in the U.S
China is its second biggest market or was?
Its sales are down 11.5% and BYD is competing on price.
Two big takeaways from this imo.
One. I would have thought that "progressives" would be the biggest market segment in the USA. see C.A. Also in Europe, Teslas are very popular in the inner burbs here too, or were! Flat white anyone?
Two. Tesla are sold and made in China too. What happens when Musks mate Trump really pisses off China?
DYOR on this stuff but the point is TESLA is going to need an edge on price range and general grooviness.
Perceived fascism will not go down well with a large segment of Tesla customers in Europe or the USA. Or here either comes to that.
China is a massive sword of Damocles hanging over Musks head and his mate Trump would turn on him in a minute, so would China imo.
Didn't DR say he was watching geopolitics? Well this might add to the opportunity in the US and I doubt MUSK would take as long as the methodical Germans to make a decision once his back is to the wall.
