The Mercedes investor roadshow - held in Jan - indicated that 3 CLA models would be released for production this year.

2 high-end petrol. 1 low-end EV. (I'm certain the only EV model for this year was a low-end G-class).
[I can't find that slide in the PDF slide-decks, there were a handful of slides only in the recorded videos.]

So, don't be disappointed to find out we aren't in the one low-end EV model being released this year at the upcoming launch event being discussed - the market has already been told Mercedes isn't there yet with EVs. I believe it a correct statement that we are almost guaranteed to be in the next-gen battery (unless a black-swan event of massively cheaper solid-state occurs). I don't believe the next-gen battery is in the one low-end model they are getting out the door this year.
