well the last post from me on Ewen
IMO
I believe we were lucky to have Ewen after the mess Derek left in the CET side of the business and putting all ADO's efforts into the eugeni program
it was handy to have someone like ewen to negotiate the ferro settlement. and adding to that, if the ferro partnership was done without a solid contract, what would the partnerships have been like with all the other CET partners. no wonder nothing immediate has come of them and a wonder we weren't sued by them as well.
with eugeni, deals with axxin had to terminated, as well as with operon and European trial consultants and European logistics companies. not straightforward at all
then he had to reduce costs and re structure the company divisions and workforce.
then have a look at how the SIOI deal was structured and compare that to distribution deals with eugeni and the Ellume deal. kind of different !!! nothing to do with Ewen's deal making experience
then speaking of ellume, and their bad batch of tests that lead to recalls and the end of the company. IMO production of anteobind and anteoX and ultranode won't face similar problems b/c of Ewens cautious nature
have a look at all the testing and papers published on Anteotech's products.
so IMO ewen was a pretty good fit for anteotech at the time. but with every situation there is light and shade. I've said that ewen was very prime and proper, cautious and from the agm presentation controlling. that being a strength of him early with anteotech could have turned into a fault now that a more dynamic approach is needed. maybe. plenty here believe it
anyway he's gone, if you want the reasons read some of the posts the last few days, it's pretty obvious for other reasons than rats leaving a sinking ship.
then there have been arguments that Ewen and David had no influence in the SIOI deal bc the relationship was already formed before they joined. so by that logic, if any deal with the 20-30 companies Anteotech are dealing with progresses, Ewen/David partnership should be credited?
everything has light and shade. so thank you Ewen and Katherine and lets hope commercial deals will come with Glenda as chair and whatever other changes to come.
