I'm sure there would be a window in which they can trade, both before and after, any announcement. To do so would indicate they knew something before the market was informed under continuous disclosure.
But they can of course let others trade on their behalf, but there does seem to be a shortage of buyers at this point? That's the best indicator we have is that the sp is declining, not rising!
