Just before I am ridiculed as being inflammatory, smart arse, etc, etc. It is a serious question.
My principal response is (there are others):
Have we been unfortunate with management over the duration (last10 years plus), or is there more to it?
Each new management has been hailed, on this forum, as a saviour that has the credentials to turn failure into success, due to the absolute brilliance of the tech. They have initially been lauded by the believers-in chief and then as promise has turned sour they have been roundly castigated. Some here would surely be embarrassed by their initial embrace of new messiahs.
It is easy to project dissatisfaction onto an obvious target, but when it happens multiple times it is surely worth considering if we could be that unlucky.
Perhaps, it just may be that even the world's greatest management have little chance to commercialise our 'glue' - it simply ain't what anybody wants.
