As I see it, regardless of whether they have a big find or not, I am better off had I bought this week, rather than have been an existing holder as of last week. If they succeed, I would have bought at the new low (driven by the rights offer), rather than last week/last month/last years prices (plus get the same entitlements) - therefore a bigger % profit. If they fail, the drop as a % is less (given the lower buy in price). So, I can't see any reason as to how an existing holder (me) has been looked after.
