I noticed my name and previous address on the unclaimed money register a couple of months ago.
Lodged the forms to chase it up.
Got an email from ASIC saying that AMP had made a "mix-up".
Then called the ASIC unclaimed money register asking as to why the "mix-up"?
Asic dude tells me probably same dude with same name living at the same address.
I then ask the ASIC dude to correct the address record to reflect that it's not me. He says??? LOL Sorry, no can do.
Wrote an email to MP Bruce Billson last week explaining the situation and what can be done about the high improbability that a man who shares the same name as my own and dwelled at the same address is a bulleye within a bulleyes chance of being the same.
Get a call from an ASIC bureau spiv today telling me that AMP applied addresses to life insurance just like a stab in the dark.
