Last night, in the main, a major theme in the Mardi Gras was clearly about homophobia in Australian Sport.

Firemen, Police, Lawyers, Feminists, Catholics, Muslims, Jews, Liberal Party Supporters, even Life Guards, ABC employees etc were in numbers.

My question is to you?

There is much stigma attached to homosexuality in Muslim societies.

In some Muslim nations homosexuality is still criminalised, and even punishable with death penalty in countries like Saudi Arabia and Iran.

Do you seriously believe that the Mardi Gras should create a float named Islamaphobia?
