re: thoughts on avm First of all I am glad I am not a share holder in AVM a very nasty kind of publicity that no company needs.
It reminds me of the Grasberg mine in Irian Jaya where their have been claims of such "incidents" in the past.

Companies can be dragged into some nasty events when they work in those countries especially when it looks like these are not isolated cases but part of day to day survival in a country like the war ravaged Congo.

Todays situation in the Congo has very much to do with their mineral wealth and the western worlds appetite to have a share of it.

Congo , Sudan and many other parts of Africa are a shame for the western world as we have not done enough to lift these countries out of their miserie.
