why are people buying so many options

    sorry guys, i would have thought that today being the last day of trading and only 45mins to go that the discount between options and shares would have widened as those silly enough to still be holding with out the cash to convert would be becoming desparate to sell. so why is there a such a small discount and why is the volume so high compared to previous days.

    Dont understand people's strategy's in making money sometimes
