Origin Capital Group is part of Macquarie Bank's new entity for managing their energy assets. CTP would become part of Origin should the vote succeed.
I don't think it's a sign of desperation, I think it's pretty normal. Macquarie aren't desperate, they are simply waiting out the result of their first offer. They have a lot more room to manoeuvre.
