Namib govt and local interests have only small direct shareholding (c16%) in Rossing Uranium, the jv company, but Namib govt has 51% voting control. So we'd have to assume they would work in tandem with RIO's plans. If Namib govt is the monopoly supplier of scarce water & electricity & maybe sulphuric acid(?) resources to industry I wonder if they might choose to play some role in 'discouraging' competition with the Rossing jv? The plot is becoming so thick my head hurts. But for a simple investor like me I can't see any downside to continuing to hold EXT for the forseeable future. Am I missing anything?
