The paperwork and extra time required uses too much of a teachers life. 2 Studients who are advanced or behind require and independent learning plan which uses around 70 hours extra a term. 2 weeks a teachers time. 3 Teachers work around 55 hours a week which includes out of school activities and around 4 weeks of holiday time. 48 weeks x 55hours 2640 hours a year. If they were paid $70 hour they should be paid. $185,000 a year but the current entry level is around $70,000
