Great post - my wife is a early childhood teacher and to add to your list:
7) No consequences for actions. Bad behaviour is 'punished' by removal from the classroom to go and play in another area - they even get to take a friend with them FFS!! Schools actively trying to lower their suspension statistics by not suspending!
8) Partly relates to above - no support from senior staff. Also too many non-teaching, senior staff Advanced Skill Teachers (AST's), Assistant Principals whose sole job it is to babysit the worst of the worst students all day.
