From a long line of educators myself... as a kid I kinda got used to my mother whining about her cohort rather than the education dept.
One of my own is regularly headhunted by private and public high schools for her leading edge skill sets and strict take no prisoners discipline...... but invariably her classrooms are stacked at the beginning of the each year with equity tokenism, knowing they will be shunted out ..... by years end the kids (mainly males) remaining are several years ahead in the assessments and the mandatory annual please explains and punishment by the dept for oustanding teaching begins ...... nobody in the head office or divisional chiefs like a bighead apparently.
