That must be a massive disincentive to becoming a teacher. An extra year's study to enter a field where the salary peaks at a relatively modest level. There were some reports saying that graduates through the current Masters of Education 2 year path are less ready for a classroom than those who did the previous 1 year Dip. Ed.
