that’s a joke. Would mean he had money to give them. I doubt very much that it was that way round. More likely he couldn’t get what he wanted. and with that and the money he’d quietly and secretly hidden he decided there was no other state he could run to. Better off out of the country. That way Centrelink wouldn’t know and he couldn’t be caught for failure to disclose
