Very stupid. But this government does it's own thing and doesn't seem to care about voters until it's close to an election.
Ms Gillard would have to have been aware for months that an increasing number of voters are furious about the enormous increase in boat arrivals since labor came to power. And yet, like the carbon tax, she takes no notice.
She obviously promised to stop the boats to get elected. How can this be called democracy?
