You ask a very good question.
Most traders cut their profits and let their loses run. This results from a combination of greed and people's inability to admit it when they are wrong. This is nowhere more obvious that in the trade in TLS.
A review of the TLS treads on Hot Copper shows a consistent stream of wishful thinking and invective against anything or anybody that is judged to be the cause of Telstra's woes. Most TLS holders are in so deep that they have lost perspective. They have made an emotional investment in Telstra, and would rather lose money than admit that the actual investment was a poor one.
