Possibly a bigger headwind is the retirement of Bradley Byrne. He was the Alabama congressman who pushed the cause of ASB in Washington. He sat on a number of defence related committees and helped ASB win additional contracts above what Navy requested.
He is replaced by newcomer Tommy Tuberville. I don't know much about him other than he has already shown he backs the wrong team by being one of only 7 voters in Congress to vote against the Biden victory result.
My guess is he wont have anywhere near the clout of Byrne and that combined with uncertainty of future defence budgets doesn't bode well for ASB.
Shareprice seems to be starting to factor this risk
