I don't see that happening in the near term. we've been here long enough to see that no matter the efforts to reduce left/right politics in international circles, the adversarial approach remains the most consistent across most of the planet. while that remains the Orwellian impulse to have conflict will be needed politically, eg. Putin and some Arab states.

and the Americans simply cannot resist the virtue of saving the world from global catastrophe. this latest with Yemen is getting hotter.

what would anti-war Trump do? what would be the consequence if Trump pulls back from Yemen and Israel?

I really prefer to back away from the US ties. AUKUS and ANZUS make us a bigger target.
