The issue with the ABC Learning Centres is that there would be a lot of children disadvantaged & thousands of teaching positions on the line which will affect the wider community as jobs will be lost, parents would have to stay home from work etc etc.

Whereas if Centro were to fold it would not have much of an effect on the community as the malls would still continue to operate.

It could be argued that an 'Owner In Possession' would take over ABC, however I think the Government is just trying to look good on this particular issue!
