Yep, probably, gone are the days where people wanted to make a difference...to work in an area because it was what they wanted to do.
They are probably paid as well as Police or Paramedics with a fraction of the responsibility or hours worked...
So we now encourage people to line up for a role because it pays well...doesn't matter if they are a total goose with a barrow to push, or aren't suited to the role or plainly couldn't give a damn....
We hear complaints about the quality of school teachers...some can't even read and write properly and they are supposed to teach? But no matter...they will get paid real well just to turn up every week...
